BILLET v2 Series

A RADICAL New Approach of designing Car Audio Amplifier.  Custom-Made product to compliment your personal taste of Music.  Since the beginning of Car Audio, we have been use to listening to premade products with predetermined amplifier sound.  Wouldn't it be nice if you can own an amplifier that represents and reflects your individual musical taste down to controlling each pair of channels to suit your needs?

This is not like a processor that can only change a few frequencies.  It's about changing the 'sonic-signature' of entire bandwidth of each pair of channels.

Whether it be making your Tweeters sound Smoother or Brighter?

Mid-Range to sound more Open or Big?

Mid-Bass to sound Warm and Fat or Snappy and Fast?

Your Tweeters are a bit too bright and you wish to tone them down a bit?

Or your Mid-Range sound is too neutral or flat and wish to open them up?

All this can be achieved with a Billet v2 Series amplifier.

Symmetrically Designed PC Board with SPLIT Power Supply

Channel 1/2 and Channel 3/4 functions independently. In essence it is a pair of 2 channel amplifiers in 1-PC Board/Chassis.

Example:  Channel 1/2 running Mid/Highs will have a different demand on power supply than Channel 3/4 running Bass.


Constant Full RMS-Power Without 'Thermal-Rollback'

Many amplifiers incorporate a system where as temperature rises RMS Power Decreases.  Hence, called Thermal-Rollback.  This allows amplifiers to reduce its size but will reduce power as much as 80%.

All TRU Technology Amplifiers do not incorporate such features.  Their amplifiers will make full rated power until thermal shutdown. 


ACTIVE DC-Servo Circuit

Due to standard parts tolerances, all amplifiers produce some levels of unwanted DC-Offset presence on speaker outputs.  The DC-Offset presence on speaker output causes hesitation/exaggeration of speaker cone movement causing compromised sound of soft passages and/or music cut short of full Decay (Extension/Fade).

With this circuit, each channel's DC-Offset is constantly monitored and virtually removes all DC-Voltage output.  Thus, reproducing music as intended.


Class a Pre-Drive and Drive Stage

Fast 30MHz transistors are implemented to maintain Sonic Purity.  Transistor's power/voltage rating is at 8Amps/250V for reliability.


Stage Kit Options

Stage Kit Options are designed to Custom Tailor Individual's Musical Taste.  Increasing Transparency, Resolution and Dynamic Headroom.


STAGE I: Preamp Only

Up to Sixteen Upgraded parts are installed.

Good Audio-Grade capacitors to improve Tonality.

Better Metalized-Polyester Capacitors improves power supply filtering.


STAGE II: Preamp + Main PCB

Up to Thirty Two Upgraded parts are installed.  Same as Stage I but includes Main PC Board.


STAGE III: Preamp + Main PCB

Up to Forty Eight Upgraded parts are installed.  Better Audio-Grade capacitors improves Transparency and Tonality.  Metalized-Polyester Capacitors improves Transparency and Tonality.  Ultra-Low impedance power supply filtering capacitors, improves current flow and decreases resistance.  Increase of 152% Power Supply Storage Capacitance, improving dynamic headroom.  Increase of 120% input filter capacitance, improving power-input filtering and increasing dynamic headroom.


STAGE IV: Preamp + Main PCB

Up to Seventy Two Upgraded parts are installed.  BEST Audio-Grade capacitors improves Transparency and Tonality.  Metalized-Polyester Capacitors improves power supply filtering.  Ultra-Low impedance power supply filtering capacitors, improves current flow and decreases resistance.  Increase of 152% Power Supply storage capacitance (Same as STAGE III), improving dynamic headroom.  Increase of 120% input filter capacitance (Same as STAGE III), improving power input filtering and increasing dynamic headroom.

Thermally-Controlled Fan-Cooling assistant System

Utilizing two 50mm fans strategically positioned into heatsink fins.  In this position, fans function at optimum 80+% removing heat.  Other amplifiers may simply attach a fan on the bottom of amplifier, which is at best, 30% cooling efficiency.


4-Layer 3oz. Copper Pc Boards Advantage

Utilizing 4 separate layers of copper traces.  Routing of copper traces are ran with no compromise.  A 4-inch wide 3oz copper trace can support up to 1,000 amps of current.  Benefits are PC Board runs cooler, lower resistance, reliability and longevity.  As well as doubling PC Board area from the same amount of space, typical 2-layer PC Board must use buss bars to meet minimal spec.
